Usa Discounters - What kind of company doesnt have deferred payments!

I purchased a few items from this God forsaken USA discounters inside the store the customer service was very nice. My purchase came up too $6000 so I financed I was paying $200 a month, I am suppose to have $2300 left on my account they told me I owed them $6000 how is that possible when I have been making payments. I lost my job just recently and they told me they do not have a deferred payment program and that they wanted their money that's nice considering I don't make enough in unemployment. This company is no good! who has financing with no compassion on financial complications! NEVER AGAIN

You didn't read your contract, nor we're you paying attention! The two warranties (included in the monthly payments you didn't notice about) that alone will bring your balance back up to $6000.

You have to request to have the extended warranty and debt cancelation removed if you don't need them.

Usa Discounters - RUN, don't walk AWAY!! This is a SCAM!!

We purchased furniture from the Clarksville, TN Store. We were going to pay cash, but were talked into the "credit building" finance plan. The staff was so HELPFUL! When the "leather" furniture started to peel 2 months later on one cushion, we were told they were ordering a replacement cover, still nice. After 3 months of waiting and 2 more peeling covers, and many phone calls we were told to come into the store and they would replace the furniture. As we entered the store we saw the manager ducking into the warehouse area and were told that he was not in. We picked out 3 possible replacement sets and asked that he call and let us know which one and when we could expect delivery. 4 months later after MANY calls and several visits we withheld payment. Today we have been informed that they are filing a lawsuit and want 3 times the original amount in order to keep us out of garnishment. Don't think that MANY of those calls were not to the corporate office. We were told to contact the district manager. He also never returned our calls. This place is a NIGHTMARE!!

I remember something similar like that happed to me once with USA Discounters, and I got back at them, because I read my contract. Also, I have spoken to other USA Discounters customers as well about similar matters. This is what I did....

After making 6 on-time payments, I went back to the same USA Discounters, but this time I wanted to make sure I got the same sales rep as before, and then I ask if I can finance something else. The sales rep qualified me saw my payments were all on-time, and I did the new application. I was getting a watch. So, I spoke to sales person, and told him that I had purchased furniture from there before (he remembered), and it needed repair. The sales rep said that he may or may not be able to help me with that, and then I said to the sales rep, ...before I sign the contract, can you remove all 'Extended and Debt cancelation Warranties'.....

That started the ball rolling rather quickly, because I learned that sales people at USA Discounters hate when you remove that kind of stuff off the contract, especially when you come around to finance with them the 2nd time, 3rd time, or 4th time around, ect...., because the sales rep who does that contract loses out big time!! It becomes a negative balance towards their quota and the store loses out big time!

The sales rep explained what will happen if I don't have these warranties in place. I was told that I can't call into USA Discounters to have them help me with my merchandise because I don't have the extended warranties. That I would have to call the manufacture who made the furniture to have it serviced. I said I understand, but I didn't want to pay and get stuck with something else that's falling apart, or even and wait a month or two for services on my furniture. The sale rep agrees and he went the extra mile....

I figured, as long as I am qualified to come back to USA Discounters to add-on to my account, the sales rep should appreciate it and go the extra mile for me. He did. He got my sectional looked at and had the furniture gut re-stuff all the cushions. Ahhh! I'm happy now. The power of the consumer! 8)

I stopped into the store in Woodbridge, VA, I looked at some of the LCD/LED televisions, all over priced some as much as $600-700 dollars. Some of the furniture looked ok at first glance.

The leather furniture is NOT leather some of the furniture MIGHT be bi-cast leather - Bicast leather (also known as bycast leather or PU leather, sometimes described as split leather) is a material made with a split leather backing covered with a layer of polyurethane that is applied to the surface and then embossed. If you want real leather furniture you are going to pay, whenever I set out to purchase any leather products I start with the smell real leather also it feels a lot different then leather. While in the store I was talking with another soldier, I was telling the soldier that the only reason this business carters to the military is because the military has reliable income. The sales person said out loud, "That we will sue the soldiers".

Who would want to do business with a copy just to sue soldiers if they can't pay.

Also, who would buy anything from a store that sells, RIMS, FURNITURE, APPLIANCES, TVS AND JEWELRY

and charge 28% in.

Usa Discounters - Horrible prices

My husband and I got roped into the "military always approved" advertisement. We got a wedding band set and furniture. A year later, I wanted to exchange my wedding ring set because the diamonds kept falling out and it was cutting my fingers. I just wanted to get a more simple, single diamond ring. We were told that since we bought the ring set for $3000 that to get a different ring, we would have to spend at least $6000 and the payment would "only go up a little". Needless to say, I kept my ring. When we got a washer and dryer set we picked out a dryer and matching HE washer. The washer we got was a standard, plain, top loader. They said they gave us a "deal" on the price because it wasn't a matching set. In order to exchange, we would have to purchase another washer. They were willing to exchange it for a matching washer THAT DIDN'T WORK! Kept reassuring us that we had gotten a good deal. We are stuck paying wayyyy too much for items that are not that high in quality. We have had problems with a computer, the washer, and my rings that we got from them. They are really nice until you set up that allotment and then the nice, smiling, helpful customer service reps are replaced with rude, inconsiderate people. I don't suggest ANYONE buying ANYTHING from this company. I think this company should be shut down.

To 28d94b9above...Did you read the reviews from others who purchased expensive wedding rings from this company only to find out later their 5000 diamond was actually cubic zirconica? I would suggest you take yours to a reputable jeweler and do the same....

Usa Discounters - This company needs to be shut down!

I purchased two laptops from this company back in dec 2010. I was an active duty personnel and their customer service was good at the store. I took the laptop home to my husband and the direct deposit came out of my military paycheck. I got out of the military and i contacted them asking for a delay in payment because I had to find another job. I got a rude response back stating that they could not delay any payments. I got 12 different emails from 12 different people from the company with caps locks and highlighted messages in a span of 3 weeks. Completely rude and I told them it would be about a month when I can start making payments and I received an email back with caps lock stating that they have sent my paperwork to their legal department to take me to court. What company emails a customer in caps lock? Every employee of this company I have had contact with has been the rudest people I have ever spoke to. No customer service. I don't know how they are still in business. Before I got our of the military I know for a fact I paid half of the debt, and should only owe about $1100, but they state that I owe $4000 to them. They are thieves and need to be shut down. Absolutely absurd!

Usa Discounters - DO NOT SHOP AT THIS PLACE EVER

When I was active duty military, I bought a desktop computer from this place. It was 2006, I had a allotment set up for 10 payments. The payments were taken out of my account as per allotment, case closed. BUT OH NO. 7 years later this fraud company put on my credit report that I owed them almost $4000, with no account number, explanations, or ANY attempt to contact me. So if you do buy at this place, KEEP CHECKING YOUR CREDIT, AND KEEP ALL RECORDS. I have the allotment records, and bank statments that i paid them, so ill see these bastards in court.

Usa Discounters - Cheaply made Products

We financed a king size bed and within 6 months we had a issue with it the bed had a large lump in the middle and suck in a both sides. They sent a factory rep to look at it and replaced it in a week well 6 months later the same issue. Now we are paying over 1000.00 dollars for this bed. Why is this happening? They sent the same factory rep out after a week of calling and he remembers replacing in the last time. A week goes by I have no response I left messages for the manager and no call for 2 weeks. Now when he calls he has to send Yet another person to look at this bed when this should of been done in the first place. We bought this bed due to back issues not only do I have pain In my back I am stress about this situation This is terrible customer service and I will never deal with them again. Their products are very poorly made. They are very prompt in calling to see if you want to use the rest of your credit. Oh heck NO!!!!

Usa Discounters - Army needs to black list this place.

I absolutely hate USA discounters. They prey on young soldiers and the family. I've known soldiers paying more than triple in APR than what it's worth. And they didnt even have bad credit. I always see them put together stuff I can make. Using fake marble and leather. Even cheap or fake wood! My roommate had the money upfront to buy a couch. Which was ugly and still over priced. You know? The tan micro fiber one with fake ugly brown leather and accent pillows for back cushions. Two months of me sitting on that thing and the cushions were destroyed! They caved in like the Grand Canyon. On top of that the fake leather on the pillows were cracking and the microfiber was wrinkling. He was so pissed about buying the sectional. But to USA Discounters it's the no gives backies rule. My boyfriend at the time surprised me with an IPad one morning. I was ecstatic until I found out where he got it from. Yup! You guessed USA discounters. A $600 thing at Walmart is now a two year contract costing $1,300. The workers are also unprofessional. One lady there was helping a customer that was upset about something he bought a few weeks ago. He wasn't irate or yelling. Just showing the frustration in his face. He went out to his truck to grab whatever he bought and she turned into a two faced girl who needs to be in high school. She was (in front of me) talking to another worker saying " I don't know who he thinks he's talking to" and "I'll make him wait all day for help". Just very unprofessional. Soldiers STAY AWAY. They are rapping you analy and don't even have to common curtesy to lube it up. Meaning they are using you and it's hurts badly and should be illegal. I mean if you have bad credit there are places that will give you a better APR and sell high quality stuff. You will pay less for better!

Usa Discounters - What a Scam

My Husband was screwed over so bad. He went in there to replace his Wedding Band and He found one that he liked so he purchased it. He was told that this was a top rated wedding ring and we were going to get it on a deal. Come to find out it was a cheap metal that they were trying to pass off as the real thing. I went on Amazon and was able to purchase the exact same one for less than $30 they wanted $230 what do they think they are trying to do with screwing people like that. The ring go stolen and I gave them a Police Report and they still made threats to take me to court. They need to quit screwing people

Usa Discounters - False Advertisement

I was pre-approved for credit. I checked the website for the livingroom furniture that I was going to purchase. I spoke with the representative about which livingroom set I wanted. I told her that I would come by the store at the end of the week. I went into the store on Saturday. I was told that I would have to set up direct deposit for the payments. I informed the representative that State of Maryland employees and Baltimore City employees cannot have their pay check deposited to places other than a banking institution and/or a credit union. And not several at one time. Therefore, I did not make the purchase. I talked extensively with the representative, and he This is a bad business practice. Someone should have done their homework.

Usa Discounters - False advertisement

I recently tried to purchase furniture with USA Discounters, I had went to the Norfolk location and had a great sales girl but the company itself is horrible in my perspective. At first everything was fine and I was pre approved for a credit line with the stipulation being that I had to set up direct deposit with my payroll department before I was actually able to be delivered. I thought "no problem I can contact payroll and have them fax the information needed in order to be delivered." While signing the contract I noticed that the customer had the option to a different payment method (in case you never read the contract). When I contacted my payroll dept they told me that I can only have a portion or whole amount of my check deposited into one bank and since I already have my pay directly deposited into my own personal bank account I was not able to set up direct deposit to USA Discounters bank. I called back to my sales person to tell her what happened and she then put me on hold to call her manager. When she got back on the phone she informed me that she was told that if I was not able to set up direct deposit then I couldn't be delivered the merchandise and I couldn't continue on with the purchase and apologized. I asked if it was possible to set it up to come directly out of my bank account and i was again put on hold and when she came back the answer was still no. I understand its not her fault and she tried to do what he could but was not successful. I believe it is false advertisement to state in the contract that you have me signing that I have a option when I clearly do not. Do not advertise that state and government employees are guaranteed the approval if they aren't.

Usa Discounters - Thieves

A few months ago after just recently getting married my husband and I moved into a furniture-less house and were looking for quality furniture businesses in the area. We came across "USA Discounters". We visited their online website and decided to visit the local store. When we got there, we received great customer service and were assured the furniture was quality made and rarely receive any customer complaints. The sales representative also added that of there was any problems with the furniture they have a man on site who specializes in fixing and cleaning the products. After browsing the store for a couch we settled on a rap around couch with ottoman. The product was supposedly brand new and I fell in love with it because of the color ( deep blue/brown color) sounds ugly but it was gorgeous in the store and it matched a stained glass piece of artwork I had to hang on the wall. The next day while my husband was at work the couch was supposed to be delivered, when the delivery men brought the couch to my surprise....,'the couch was BROWN!!!!! I told them to load it back on the truck and called the manager , he said it was probably the fluorescent lighting in the store...and that I had already signed the contract and must take the product. We took the couch , and not less than 2 months of owning it, it started caving in and the upholstery was sagging off of the sides of the ottoman. We called the company and said they would be out to pick it up and return it within 24hrs. The following day a man in a small pick up shows up without calling ahead of time or scheduling with me. He looks at the couch for 5 min, takes some pictures and then has the nerve to say " so , what exactly is wrong with it. " I almost lost it at that point! After showing him the sagging upholstery and how the cushions were caving in, he agrees with me that the couch did look a little "rough " and he hasn't seen a couch like this before. He tells me he will take the ottoman and return it in one week. I said okay that's fine what about the rest of the couch. He said they would call an schedule with me. The next day as I am walking out the door to do some shopping they show up unannounced ready to take one section of the couch. I allow them to take it and ask when it will be back, they said they would call. No one called. 3 days later they call and say " we can drop your couch off in 45 min and pick up the rest of it." At this time I am not even home , so I rush home in about ten minutes. Wait around for 2 hours and call them. They tell me that they are booked for the day and couldn't make it out to get my furniture. UNBELIEVABLE!!! it had been 2 weeks and I have still not received my furniture. And to top it off " I am not on the account " so my husband who is deployed has to call and schedule everything on the account. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! they will lie, and overcharge you for cheap furniture that falls apart in a day.

Usa Discounters - Stay Away!

Bought furniture from USA Discounters in October of 2011 while my fiance was deployed and I used a Power of Attorney to buy the furniture. Had no problem with buying the furniture with the power of attorney or anything My fiance set up the allotment and we were good to go. Fast forward four months later and we have broken up. He takes the furniture when he moves out, cancels the allotment, and then says I used a fake power of attorney to get the furniture. USA Discounters starts calling me, telling me that they will garnish 25 percent of my wages every pay day until the balance is paid. I ask them about my ex and why he isn't being contacted or his unit is being contacted since he is military. They tell me that he said that it was fraud and it is a civil matter between us two. The finance department said that if I make a payment of over 200 dollars they won't get a judgement against me. I explained that I don't have that type of money to just hand over. They then tell me well too bad so sad, it was my responsibilty because I used a power of attorney, and so on. This company preys on the military just for the fact that they will give them credit instantly. I would strongly stay away from this company. I would especially say that if your fiance or spouse is deployed do NOT use a power of attorney to buy from them.

Usa Discounters - Asked for refinance .. got the refi but under false pretense.

I had lost my job due to cutbacks. Called USA Discounters to see if my husband and I could get our loan refinanced due to hardships. We needed our payment lowered. I was told that if we waited till the begining of October then our pmt would not be due till November once the paperwork went thru and we would get a partical reimbursement. 18 days later and many phone calls they had informed me that the refi was accepted and that we would go to the local store to sign the paperwork. I had asked about the reimbursement and was told because the papwe work didn't go through till today then there would be no reimbursement. I had explained that that was not what I was told the guy on the phone proceeded to say that was not what I was told. I said I was not going to argue with him but I know what I was told. I was truly counting on this money to buy food! I hope they are happy!!

Usa Discounters - Horrible place

We called to talk to Usa discounter about our account in North Carolina. We asked them about giving everything back or lowering out payments we just can't afford it any more being in the military and having a little one on the way. So the first person we talked to said she would talk to the credit department. She called us back and said the finace department said that its no their fault we can't pay our bills and to deal with it. We can pay our bills we been paying this bill that never ends from 2009-now 2012. So she told us to call the manager tomarrow so we did and he tell us to file for bankruptcy because they already refincaed for us. I don't know about everyone else but i always though when you refinaced something they made the intrest go down and the pay ment go down more then 20 bucks. Their idea of refinace is is takign the warenty off so if somethign breaks you can't take it back. and starting yoru whole contract over. I highly recommend not using USA discounters especially if yoru military its a rip off go with out for a few month then buy out right even if its cheaper quality. It wont be much cheaper quality then usa discounters thats for sure. SO unless you want to file bankruptcy to get a better payment with usa discoutner don't use them at all.
